The Rockford Park District holds a special place in my heart, as I spent 20 years working there. Initially, I worked in environmental education and later in their creative services department. One of my final projects was to rebrand Sapora Playworld—an indoor playground inside Carlson Ice Arena. It was particularly enjoyable for me as my son was four years old and loved playing there.
