Disco Chicken

Logo design and brand identity development for Disco Chicken rebrand and expansion into Downtown Rockford restaurant.

Rebrand of popular food truck as it expands into its first restaurant location

Restaurateurs Karen and Paul Sletten had a unique opportunity to rebrand their popular food truck, Disco Chicken, for the opening of its first restaurant in Downtown Rockford. They felt it was time for the brand to "grow up" in order to exceed the expectations of their customers with the brick-and-mortar experience. My team guided them through an iterative process, keeping them involved at every step to ensure we honored the original identity while moving it forward into its full potential.

This project was created by my brand foundations company, Low Octave.

"When you’re craving a crunch or need a fun and funky meet-up spot that’s open from lunch til late, a fried-chicken fix from Disco Chicken will get you right, every time. Disco Chicken’s downtown restaurant is your all-day, everyday crave-quencher—with live house and electronic music, a rooftop with fresh-juice cocktails, and a dining room that’s perfect for families and work lunches. Plus the Disco Chicken food truck and mobile cocktail bar can bring the party to you."
